Texture gives hair places to catch
Loops, fuzzy surfaces and knit structures can physically trap strands. Smooth, tightly woven fabrics usually give hair fewer places to lodge.
Static can increase cling
Dry environments and friction can build static charge, making light hairs more likely to cling to clothing.
