1. Remove loose hair first
Vacuum, brush or roll the bed surface before washing. Pet beds can carry far more loose hair than everyday clothes.
2. Check removable covers and care labels
Wash removable covers separately if the manufacturer recommends it. Not every foam insert or waterproof liner is machine washable.
3. Use an appropriately sized load
Bulky bedding needs room to move. Forcing an oversized bed into a small drum can reduce cleaning and create balance problems.
4. Clean up after the cycle
Remove visible hair from the drum or gasket and clean the dryer lint screen. This reduces carryover into your next load.
