Remove obvious hair before washing
Cat hair can be fine enough to weave into knits and cling to static-prone fabrics. Use a fabric-safe brush or roller on the most coated areas before putting clothes in the machine.
Keep cat bedding separate from cleaner loads
Blankets and beds can release a large amount of loose hair. Washing them separately helps reduce transfer to everyday clothes.
Use the laundry cycle as one part of the process
Follow your washer and textile instructions, avoid packing the drum, and clean lint traps after drying. A laundry product marketed for pet hair can be an optional layer rather than the only tactic.
